11/28/2023 0 Comments Byond space station 13![]() I am thinking about setting up a shitty PHB forum, to keep track of 'job applications' and characters and general news/server status stuff. If ever you would like the server reset or need help, feel free to add me on steam or PM me on here (Steam is more likely to get a prompt response) In time, we will likely get more folks involved as admin, but let's get at least one weekend under our belt I really want to learn about Engineering but just don't have the balls to do it in an actual round. I'll likely be spending more time hanging out and exploring, as well. I'll try to hop on and give the server a reset once a day, at least. Give them a chance to get to learn the game without the stress of an active round. I plan on turning off all the 'events' and just let folks explore the different jobs and the stations. During the week, there will be minimal supervision of the server. A friend of mine is providing the hosting services and helping me with administrating. It will be 'our' private (unlisted) server. ![]() "Is this a test/mess around server?" ~ Kinda, yeah. but don't blow the station up, intentionally, please' Though, for the time being, consider weekends to be the "events" and weekdays to be 'unsupervised fuckaround time. As well as the potential for testing out different maps. In the future, there'll be some good ol' "dorfen" style fun, most likely. I do not plan on allowing 'antags' (or similar) until we have a core group, who are comfortable with the game and each other, established. The first few "events" will be pretty tame. Once you do that, at least 2 other departments are getting humped by your slacking, so be considerate, y'know? We work as a team, we survive as a team (or die as a team))Īs far as "events" go, that will be an organic process, as I am learning how to admin and (presumably) we'll have some new players to the game. I figure as folks, generally, take it somewhat seriously (like, c'mon, do your job, don't go play lasertag cos your bored. I know everyone will have their own approach to it, that's part of the fun. My personal approach is that it is a workplace simulator. We'll see how folks feel, as we learn the system, how 'hardcore' we get with RP. My Steam profile, if you need to get a hold of me ~ I will post in this thread a day or so before the weekend to let folks know what's going on, in terms of games being run. Do not worry about messing things up, as I will hop on and reset the server once a day or so. I'm only going to facilitate official rounds during the weekends, but feel free to hop on during the week to explore and learn how things work. The host has told me the server will be up 24/7. To access the server, click the gear icon in the top right corner of byond and "open location" and enter the following in to the field that pops up īyond://:27000 The server is currently unlisted from within the byond launcher. Looks like we will be running the vanilla /TG/ Station, as opposed to MiniStation, due to MiniStation being currently broken. SpaceStation13_0_2.pext (Size: 79.99 KB / Downloads: 119)Ĭode for pondering and blaming: its GitHub page.So the server went 'live' last night. Tested on Win10 圆4, Playnite 9.14 (latest public release to date). I had an awkward urge to include launch-ready server list - but there are too many and different players might prefer different servers. And the auth is an unnecessary step for free to play title based plugin anyway) (- nor with authentification: if the player do have account - player do want the plugin. since most of us use IGDB anyway, I didn't inflated the code with custom metadata downloaders. and if you lost your launcher installer somehow - Install button will bring you to the right place properly opens Windows' Programs and Components menu on Uninstall attempt detects installed BYOND, if present - marks SS13 as installed, adds Space Station 13 into your game library upon install, It have a dedicated Playnite integration now! The plugin is as robust as the game is - and, as of v0.2, is fully ready for general audience. ![]() There are a truckload of launchers which are too niche for critically acclaimed extension makers - so weirdos like me have something to practice on.
